This collection features two popular strategy board games from rural Bangladesh.
3 Beads (৩ গুটি): A two-player game similar to Tic-Tac-Toe. Unlike Tic-Tac-Toe, each player starts with three pieces already on the board. Players take turns moving one of their beads to a vacant adjacent space. The first player to get all three of their beads in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line (excluding the initial positions) wins.
16 Beads (১৬ গুটি): This two-player game shares similarities with Checkers. Each player begins with 16 beads. Players move one bead at a time to an adjacent vacant space. A player can capture an opponent's bead by jumping over it and landing in a vacant space directly beyond. Multiple captures are allowed in a single turn. The player who eliminates all of their opponent's 16 beads wins.
