Unlike Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter, ArtClash stands out by fostering a community of artists who challenge and encourage each other through creative competitions.
As a work in progress with early access, ArtClash offers a dynamic environment where you can either free draw or take on specific topics with optional constraints like time limits, color restrictions, or canvas sizes. Earn points as others guess your creations correctly, turning every sketch into an exciting challenge.
This one-man project was born from a personal passion to practice art daily, shared between the creator and his wife, and now extended to you. Dive into the current features:

- Import images to use as references or paint over them for inspiration.
- Select from various topics and difficulty levels, ranging from single words to combinations of nouns, verbs, places, and time periods.
- Apply constraints like time, color, or canvas size for an extra challenge and earn more points.

As ArtClash is still in early access, there are some known issues:
- The UI is currently less than ideal, but a switch to XAML is planned to enhance responsiveness and aesthetics.
- Performance can be sluggish on lower-end devices with canvases over 1024x1024. Efforts are underway to optimize the brush engine and explore alternative engines for better performance.
Exciting features are on the horizon, including new games like "telephone" with drawings, enhanced social interactions like avatars, comments, and friend/follow systems, and a faster brush engine. Look forward to a marquee selection tool, transform tool, more brushes, an improved layer system, and a developer feedback system to help shape the app's future. Community involvement will grow with the introduction of moderators, topic and constraint submissions, and eventually, full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping capabilities.
While ArtClash currently focuses on social competition and encouragement rather than being a comprehensive image editing suite, its future updates promise to expand its utility and appeal to a broader range of creative needs.
