Experience the thrill of "Durak" ("Fool"), one of the most beloved card games in the former Soviet Union, now with a high-quality implementation. This version allows you to enjoy "Durak" ("Fool") offline, without an internet connection, using a deck of 24, 36, or 52 cards.
"Durak" ("Fool") comes in two primary variants: "Fool Flip" (Durak podkidnoy) and "Fool Transferable" (Durak Perevodnoy). While both share some common rules, each variant offers unique gameplay nuances.
The objective of "Durak" ("Fool") is to be the first to discard all your cards, thereby becoming the winner. The last player left holding cards is dubbed the "fool" (durak).
In the "Flip Fool" (Durak podkidnoy) variant, the classic rules apply. When the attacker has no more cards to play against the defender, the player to the left of the defender can throw one card. After it's beaten, the right to throw returns to the original attacker. If the player to the left can't throw a card, the opportunity moves clockwise. This version is also known as "Flip Durak" or "Durak Classic" because all players can participate in throwing cards, albeit in turn.
The "Transferable Fool" (Durak perevodnoy) adds an exciting twist to the game. Starting from the second move, the defender can "transfer" a card thrown at them by playing a card of the same rank but a different suit. This action shifts the defense to the next player clockwise, who can also transfer the card further. This dynamic gameplay is why it's called "Transferable Fool" (Durak perevodnoy).
Key features of this game implementation include:
- Offline play without an internet connection.
- Stunning graphics with a variety of tables, cards, and card backs, including satin cards.
- Numerous card sorting options for a personalized experience.
- Optional card highlighting feature.
- Support for deck sizes of 24, 36, or 52 cards.
- Classic rules for both "Flip" (podkidnoy) and "Transfer" (perevodnoy) variants.
- A "Basic" mode for those who prefer a simpler game, where only the player to your left can attack.
- A limit of no more than five cards thrown on the first hand.
- In "Transferable Fool" (Durak perevodnoy), you cannot transfer cards on the first hand.
- In "Transferable Fool" (Durak perevodnoy), you can cover a card with a trump card of the same rank instead of transferring it by dragging your card over the one you wish to cover.
Playing "Fool" (Durak) requires strategic thinking and situational analysis. Players must decide when to play a card and when to hold it for a better opportunity. Observing other players' actions helps in guessing their remaining cards, adding depth to the game.
"Fool" (Durak) is a favorite pastime, offering fun and excitement for players of all skill levels. Don't miss the chance to test your skills and enjoy the vibrant emotions this game brings. Play "Fool" (Durak) for free, offline, and sharpen your strategy to outwit your opponents.
