Japanese Mahjong Game
This Japanese-style Mahjong game uses a slider at the bottom of the screen to select and discard tiles. Tap the slider to select a tile; tap again to discard it. The objective is to complete four melds and one pair.
Example hand: [1, 2, 3][6, 6, 6][6, 7, 8][N, N, N][4, 4]
Note that certain hands are invalidated by actions like Chi, Pon, and Open Kan. Pay attention to the rules regarding using 1 and 9 in Chi and Pon. At least one hand is required in Japanese Mahjong.
A hand can be created by paying 1,000 points and declaring Reach. However, Reach is not possible after performing Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. Closed hands yield higher point values.
A Lost Hand occurs when a player is waiting for a winning tile, but cannot win because they previously discarded that tile. A Lost Hand exists even if the player hasn't discarded a specific winning tile, provided at least one winning tile is present in the hand. Self-draws are still possible with a Lost Hand.
Crucially, a Ron (winning from another player's discard) cannot occur with a tile the player themselves discarded. Winning must be from another player's discard.
