Mindi is a captivating team-based trick-taking card game that offers endless fun and intellectual challenge. The primary goal of Mindi is to win tricks that contain tens. The game is designed for four players divided into two partnerships, seated opposite each other, and uses a standard 52-card deck. The player who draws the highest card becomes the first dealer, who shuffles and deals 13 cards to each player.
Mindi offers two exciting game modes for players to choose from, ensuring unlimited fun:
- Hide Mode: The player to the dealer's right selects a card and places it face down on the table, which then becomes the trump suit for that round.
- Cut Mode: The game starts without a chosen trump suit. If a player cannot follow suit, the card they play becomes the trump suit for the deal.
Once the trump suit is established for the hand, the highest card of that suit played to a trick wins it. If no trump cards are played, the highest card of the suit led wins the trick. The winner of each trick leads the next one, and all captured tricks are kept in a face-down pile by the trick's winner.
A partnership that captures three or four of the Tens wins the hand. Capturing all four Tens is known as a Mendicot, marking a significant achievement in the game.
