The 2025 Oscar nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have been announced, with Emilia Pérez taking the lead with an impressive 13 nominations, marking the highest number of nods for a non-English language film in the history of the Academy Awards. The nominations were revealed by Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang on January 23 during a live presentation on the Oscars YouTube channel. Directed by Jacques Audiard, the Spanish crime thriller Emilia Pérez is a strong contender across several major categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress, where Karla Sofía Gascón is nominated.

Following closely behind, both Wicked and The Brutalist secured 10 nominations each, while Conclave and A Complete Unknown each received eight nods. This year's nominations showcase a diverse range of films and talents, reflecting the global appeal and high quality of cinema in 2025.
