3 Popular Horror Games Coming to Switch This Year

Nintendo Switch to Receive Trio of Frictional Games in 2025

Abylight Studios and Frictional Games have partnered to bring three acclaimed horror titles – SOMA, Amnesia: Rebirth, and Amnesia: The Bunker – to the Nintendo Switch in 2025. This collaboration will introduce these chilling experiences to a new audience on the popular handheld console. Abylight Studios will handle the porting process for these three titles.

Frictional Games, renowned for its contributions to the horror genre, has built a strong legacy with the Amnesia franchise and other notable releases. The arrival of these games on the Switch is highly anticipated by fans who have long desired a greater selection of horror games on the platform.

The partnership will deliver both digital and physical releases of SOMA, Amnesia: Rebirth, and Amnesia: The Bunker for the Nintendo Switch. These games offer diverse horror experiences: SOMA explores sci-fi themes and existential questions, Amnesia: Rebirth revisits the classic Amnesia gameplay, and Amnesia: The Bunker offers a unique semi-open-world survival horror experience set in the trenches of World War I.

Horror Games Coming to Nintendo Switch:

  • SOMA (Digital & Physical - 2025)
  • Amnesia: Rebirth (Digital & Physical - 2025)
  • Amnesia: The Bunker (Digital & Physical - 2025)

Further expanding the horror offerings, a physical edition of the Amnesia Collection (including Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs) will also launch for the Nintendo Switch later this year. While specific release dates remain unannounced, the anticipation is high among horror fans eager to experience these titles on the Switch. The future of mature-rated titles on Nintendo platforms remains a topic of interest following these announcements.
