Roblox developer Kitawari has released Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0, a major update bringing significant changes to the tower defense game's unit roster, lobby, and overall user experience. This winter-themed update introduces a wealth of new content designed to keep players engaged for weeks to come.
The most striking change is the complete overhaul of the lobby. Anime Vanguards veterans will immediately notice the expanded space, providing a more comfortable starting point for each session. This is complemented by a remastered user interface, including a significantly improved and cleaner stage selection UI. As Kitawari explains in the patch notes, the previous lobby was too small and cramped, hindering the addition of new game modes. The new lobby is described as "10x more impressive," and even features a customizable day and night cycle accessible in the game's settings.
A key addition is the new Portals game mode, encouraging players to utilize winter units and skins to maximize team damage and unlock additional rewards. A Sandbox Mode is also included, offering a space for experimentation without limitations. Twelve new units are available across a new Winter Banner, the Portals game mode, the battle pass, and leaderboard rewards.
Quality-of-life improvements enhance the overall gameplay experience. These include smoother unit placement, Evolution Quests now appearing in a dedicated tab, searchable skins and familiar windows, and improved unit targeting indicators. All features of Winter Update 3.0 are available now.
