Exploring Atuel: A Documentary Game Experience
Atuel immerses players in the stunning yet climate-change-affected Atuel River Valley in Argentina. The gameplay is less about traditional challenges and more about transformative experiences. Players shapeshift into various animals and elements within the ecosystem, becoming an integral part of the landscape. One moment you're soaring through the air, the next you're flowing as the river itself.
The game also features compelling interviews with historians, biologists, geologists, and local residents, providing insightful perspectives on the region's history, current state, and climate-shaped future. Matajuegos collaborated with The 12.01 Project, an international documentary team, to bring these stories to life.
The game's visuals are truly captivating, drawing inspiration from the Cuyo desert to create an almost otherworldly atmosphere.
While Android pre-registration is pending, you can visit the Steam page or official website for more details. The mobile version will include seven new languages and full controller support.
