The mobile RPG "Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude," released late March, has already surpassed 1 million downloads. To celebrate this milestone, SuperPlanet is partnering with the popular South Korean webcomic "The Sound of Your Heart" for a comedic crossover event.
"The Sound of Your Heart," a long-running Naver Webtoon series by Jo Seok, chronicles the misadventures of its creator and his eccentric family. Initially launched in 2006, this immensely popular webtoon, boasting over 7 billion views, concluded in July 2020 and even received a Netflix adaptation.
The Crossover Characters:
The collaboration brings beloved "The Sound of Your Heart" characters into the game, each with their unique personalities. Players will encounter Jo Seok himself, his formidable wife Aebong (known for her physical prowess), her father Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh, Jo Seok's friend who sheds petals when injured.
The event tasks players with rescuing Aebong, Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh from a dungeon. Upon clearing the dungeon, these characters join the player's team. However, a twist awaits: Aebong's evil alter-ego, Dark Aebong, serves as the final boss, her animations directly inspired by the comic's iconic scenes. The crossover introduces a 21-day attendance event offering free collab characters. Limited-edition boomerangs, including a drumstick, golf club, hairdryer, and stylus, are also available. A Token Event allows players to collect tokens (kimchi, tomato, noodles, and chicken) to exchange for unique magic effects and legendary boomerangs.
