After numerous delays, Cassette Beasts, developed by Bytten Studio and published by Raw Fury, has finally made its global debut on Android, two years after its initial PC launch. If you're unfamiliar with cassettes, those nostalgic relics your parents might have used for music, a quick Google search will bring you up to speed.
Play the Cassette Beasts on Your Player
In Cassette Beasts, you find yourself stranded on the enigmatic island of New Wirral, a place that feels out of time and reality. Here, monsters roam freely, and locals transform into creatures to combat them, all powered by cassette tapes. Your mission is to survive and find a way back home. To achieve this, you'll use a cassette player to record monsters and then play back the recordings to transform into them.
Forge strong bonds with the residents of Harbourtown, and you'll unlock the ability to fuse monster forms with your partner, creating unique and powerful hybrids. With the potential to combine any two monsters, the possibilities are virtually limitless.
There’s a Whole World to Explore
New Wirral is brimming with dungeons, puzzles, and secret areas that you can only access with the right monster abilities. Whether you're gliding over cliffs, swimming through mysterious waters, scaling impossible walls, or even turning magnetic, the island offers a vast playground for exploration.
The game features a turn-based combat system with an intriguing elemental chemistry mechanic. By strategically combining different types, you can manipulate your enemies, enhance your team's abilities, or even alter an opponent's elemental type during battle.
Cassette Beasts supports Bluetooth controllers, though you might encounter minor issues. The game is free to play, so you can easily download it from the Google Play Store and dive into the adventure.
