Character customization is a cornerstone of any great RPG, and Monster Hunter Wilds truly shines in this area. If you're wondering how to tweak your hunter's look in Monster Hunter Wilds, we've got you covered.
Changing Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds (Hunter and Palico)

Let's start with your hunter's physical appearance. Monster Hunter Wilds boasts a detailed character creator, letting you craft a hunter that closely resembles yourself, or something entirely fantastical. Need to make adjustments later in the game? No problem! Once you've unlocked the base camp, simply enter your tent and navigate to the Appearance Menu (using L1 or R1). Select "Change Appearance," and you'll be able to revisit the character creator and fine-tune your hunter's and Palico's look.
How to Change Outfits and Use Layered Armor

The Layered Armor feature is available from the very beginning of Monster Hunter Wilds. Again, head to your tent, access the Appearance Menu, and choose "Equipment Appearance." This lets you customize your hunter's outfit with unlocked Layered Armor items. Remember, you're limited to the Layered Armor you've already obtained; you can't transmog your equipped armor with other armor types you've crafted.
You can also customize your Palico's appearance using the Palico Equipment Appearance option.
If Layered Armor doesn't quite satisfy your fashion needs, your only other option is to forge and equip new armor sets. Keep in mind that each piece of equipment has different stats, so don't let fashion completely overshadow function!
Seikret Customization
The Appearance Menu also offers Seikret Customization options. Here, you can adjust your Seikret's skin and feather colors, patterns, decoration types, and even eye color.
That's all there is to changing your appearance and outfits in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more tips and guides, be sure to check out The Escapist!
