How to Make the Dawning Neomun-Cake in Destiny 2

by Caleb Jan 04,2025

In Destiny 2's annual Dawning event, players bake treats for NPCs using collected ingredients. While recipes often repeat, new ones appear each year. Here's how to craft the Neomun-Cake.

Neomun-Cake Recipe:

To bake a Neomun-Cake, you'll need:

  • Vex Milk (from defeating Vex enemies)
  • Dark Frosting (from defeating enemies using Stasis or Strand abilities/weapons)
  • 15 Dawning Essence (earned through various in-game activities)

Dawning Essence is readily acquired through standard gameplay, weekly, and daily activities.

Ingredient Acquisition:

Equip a Stasis or Strand weapon (or use abilities) and hunt Vex. Nessus is ideal due to its high Vex concentration. Patrol the zone, complete Lost Sectors, or tackle Strikes, though patrolling Nessus is often the quickest method.

Once you've gathered the ingredients, open your inventory and access Eva Levante's Holiday Oven 2.4. Select the Neomun-Cake recipe to begin baking.

The Dawning often features quests demanding various baked goods for different NPCs. The Neomun-Cake is a common request, sometimes alongside older recipes like the Lavender Ribbon Cookies. Check The Escapist for further Destiny 2 guides and news.
