Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off from their popular fighting game franchise. Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, a special Asian "global version" will include English text support.
The game features mini-games, character customization, and a vibrant tropical island setting. Developers promise diverse relationship-building mechanics and an immersive romantic storyline.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a unique gameplay experience while retaining the series' signature style.
This shift in focus comes amidst ongoing efforts by Koei Tecmo to combat the proliferation of fan-made adult content featuring the game's characters. Annually, the publisher removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images. While acknowledging the passionate fanbase and their creative output, the developers have clearly drawn a line against unauthorized adult fan works. The Dead or Alive series is known for its fighting mechanics and its attractive female characters, often depicted in swimwear during combat, making it a frequent target for adult fan content creation.
