Initially announced in 2018, the series, produced by Adi Shankar (Castlevania) and animated by Studio Mir (Legend of Korra, X-Men '97), will consist of eight episodes in its first season.

Plot details remain shrouded in secrecy, but the protagonist appears to be Dante, based on his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than his appearance in Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video game franchise, will be lending his vocal talents to Dante.

The last mainline entry in the Devil May Cry video game series was Devil May Cry 5, released in 2019. This title marked a triumphant return to form for the franchise, following a period of relative inactivity after the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action game, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
