Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to introduce an exciting new ranged class, the Ironeye, ahead of its much-anticipated release in May. Dive deeper to discover more about this sniper class that promises to redefine ranged combat!
Nightreign Reveals 6th Class, Ironeye
A Deadly Ranged Sniper
Elden Ring: Nightreign has unveiled the Ironeye, a new class that brings a fresh perspective to ranged gameplay. This sniper class emphasizes speed and agility, as demonstrated in its character trailer. The Ironeye wields a formidable bow and arrow setup, showcasing the ability to scale walls for strategic mid-air attacks. A new aiming system enhances the precision of headshots, and the class even executes a riposte with a bow and arrow directly to the heart of an enemy.
During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players had the opportunity to explore four of the eight playable classes: the versatile Wylder, the robust Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the spell-casting Recluse. The Ironeye marks the sixth class to be revealed, and with the game's launch approaching next month, fans are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the final two classes, possibly later this month.
The introduction of quality-of-life enhancements, such as the new aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that these improvements might also find their way into the original Elden Ring, potentially making bows a more attractive weapon choice. Historically, bows have been less popular in the original game, overshadowed by the dominance of melee combat. However, the revamped sniper class in Nightreign could shift player preferences towards ranged builds.
Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, is scheduled for release on May 30th, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $39.99. For more detailed information about the game, be sure to visit Game8’s comprehensive article.
