How to Stop the Feud in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (Battle of Frogs & Mice Quest Guide)

by Mia Mar 15,2025

Prochek and Olbram's feud threatens to rage on forever, unless you intervene in the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Here's how to bring peace to this ridiculous conflict.

How to Start "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

This side quest unlocks after completing either the Frogs or Mice quests for Prochek or Olbram. Finish either quest, and the next one will become available. Simply speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to begin. Once the quest starts, head to the pasture to witness (and hopefully resolve) the impending conflict.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

Once again, Henry faces a difficult choice. However, a peaceful resolution is possible (details below). To side with either Prochek or Olbram, speak to your chosen champion. Tell Prochek, "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" or tell Olbram, "Let's go and see those Tachovites!"

During the pasture confrontation, avoid attempts at immediate reconciliation; this will trigger the fight prematurely. If you succeed at a dialogue check during negotiations, a member of the opposing faction will flee, significantly easing the battle. Winning the fight for either side rewards you with groschen.

For a more satisfying conclusion, try this: Before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they're willing to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush. Select the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."

This requires a successful dialogue check. If you succeed, you can read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room. If persuasion fails, sneak in to read it (saving your game beforehand is advisable).

Speak with the scribe and choose, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Now, go to the pasture and locate three oak trees in a row. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. You can:

  • Leave the nail: This divides the pasture equally.
  • Place the nail in the west tree: Favors Tachov.
  • Place the nail in the east tree: Favors Zhelejov.

The choice ultimately has minimal impact; select whichever option you prefer or remain neutral. After placing the nail, speak with Bailiff Thrush again to finalize the peace agreement. Then, speak with Prochek or Olbram to bring them to the pasture and officially end the feud.

Finally, speak with Bailiff Thrush to receive the "Master Studies I" book.

That's how to peacefully resolve the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Check out The Escapist for more game tips and information.
