Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
With the PC release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth just two weeks away, Square Enix has detailed updated system requirements, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. The updated specifications emphasize the necessity of a high-end graphics card boasting 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.
The PC version, launching almost a year after the PS5 debut, leverages several advanced technologies including DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. Unlike the PS5 version which received a Pro enhancement patch, no DLC is planned for the PC release as Square Enix focuses on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
Square Enix clarified previous specifications, specifying that 12-16GB of VRAM is recommended for 4K resolutions. The minimum and recommended specs remain largely consistent with previous announcements, requiring a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPUs include the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, while GPU requirements start at an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent. Note that Shader Model 6.6 support and DirectX 12 Ultimate are mandatory.
