Fortnite Introduces Long-Awaited Feature

In the latest update for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, players can now use Fortnite Festival's instruments as pickaxes and back blings, adding a fresh twist to the battle royale experience. This season has introduced a variety of new features that have been warmly welcomed by the Fortnite community. In December 2024, Epic Games rolled out exciting new modes such as Ballistic, LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life, and Fortnite OG, enhancing the game's diversity and appeal.

Fortnite Festival, a significant addition to the game, has been likened to the beloved Guitar Hero series, allowing players to engage with various instruments and play through a selection of songs. The mode's Item Shop offers licensed music and instrument cosmetics, and the recent addition of local co-op has further enriched the multiplayer experience. To boost the mode's popularity, Epic Games has collaborated with renowned artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga, bringing a musical flair to the Fortnite universe.

A surprising move by Epic Games has allowed Fortnite Festival instruments to be used within the battle royale mode. Players can now equip microphones, guitars, and other instruments as both back blings and pickaxes. When used as a pickaxe, the instrument vanishes from the character's back and reappears upon switching to another item or weapon. This update also features a collaboration with Hatsune Miku, introducing new outfits and instruments to the game.

Fortnite’s Instruments Can Now Be Used as Pickaxes and Back Blings

To utilize this new feature, players can navigate to the game's locker and select the "instruments" option to sort their back blings and pickaxes. This update has also modified instruments previously limited to back blings and pickaxes, making them compatible with Fortnite Festival. This much-anticipated feature has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the Fortnite community, eager to explore new ways to interact with their favorite items.

Alongside this innovative feature, the latest update introduces new cosmetics from the Fortnite and Godzilla collaboration. Fans of the legendary monster can choose between pink and blue edit styles and unlock additional accessories like a wrap, harvester, glider, and more by completing battle pass challenges. With an array of new content to dive into, Fortnite's latest update continues to captivate and excite its player base.
