The Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite melee weapon from Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1 (Fortnite Hunters). This season offers players a choice between the Kinetic Blade and the newly introduced Typhoon Blade.

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of locating and utilizing the Kinetic Blade, enabling players to compare it to the Typhoon Blade and make an informed choice.

How to Find the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite

The Kinetic Blade appears in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. Players should search for it as floor loot or within standard and Rare chests.

Currently, the Kinetic Blade's drop rate appears relatively low. Furthermore, the absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) adds to the challenge of finding it in-game.

How to Use the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite

The Kinetic Blade is a melee weapon that allows for swift movement and surprise attacks.

Unlike the Typhoon Blade, which requires sprinting for increased speed, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack to rapidly close the distance on opponents. This attack inflicts 60 damage upon impact and can be used up to three times consecutively before requiring a recharge.

Players can also employ the Knockback Slash, dealing 35 damage and knocking back enemies. This attack can result in additional fall damage, potentially leading to an opponent's elimination.
