Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you under-equipped. Fortunately, you can acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat. This guide outlines how to obtain this valuable weapon.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location on your map provides an easy route to the bow. Even if you opt for the miller's job, this method remains efficient.
The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. From Troskowitz, follow the westward path, then continue north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area hides a small training ground.
Within the trees, you'll find a target riddled with arrows—free ammunition! To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew on a nearby stump and harvestable mushrooms. Once you've gathered your supplies, continue with your quest.
Alternative Acquisition Methods
While you can purchase the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, it's not the most powerful ranged weapon and isn't worth the price compared to acquiring it for free. However, Vitek offers other, superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy by gathering herbs and selling potions.
Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly enhances combat, especially if you prefer not to engage in close-quarters melee. Combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 retains similarities to its predecessor, making ranged combat a viable strategy for many players.
After acquiring the bow (free or purchased), continue your journey in Tachov. If you chose the blacksmith path, save your game after successfully forging a sword. Otherwise, proceed to the miller to advance the main storyline.
This concludes the guide on securing the free Dogwood Village Bow early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
