Google Play Store may soon launch a feature to automatically open newly downloaded apps. This potential addition, discovered through an APK teardown, is tentatively titled "App Auto Open" and will be entirely optional.
What's the Buzz?
Android Authority reports that Google is developing a feature designed to streamline the app installation process. Once enabled, this feature will automatically launch apps immediately after download completion. This eliminates the need to manually locate and open the app icon.
The Details
While not officially confirmed, and with no release date announced, the "App Auto Open" feature will likely work as follows: a notification banner will appear at the top of your screen for approximately five seconds upon successful app download. Your phone may also vibrate or ring, ensuring you won't miss the notification.
The feature's optional nature allows users to control whether or not newly installed apps launch automatically. The information remains unofficial, and we'll update you as soon as Google makes an official announcement.
