If you're diving into *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* for the first time, you'll quickly realize that taking damage is part of the game, no matter your skill level or the difficulty you've chosen. New players, in particular, might be eager to learn how to heal efficiently to keep the battle momentum going.
Fortunately, healing in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* is user-friendly. You'll need to use a special consumable item known as a meat bun to replenish your health. The game also offers an auto-healing feature, which is perfect for those who prefer not to constantly monitor their health bar and decide when to heal.
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Just like in previous titles of the series, healing in Dynasty Warriors: Origins involves using meat buns. These can be obtained by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, enemy officers might drop meat buns upon defeat, but this only happens on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings. On higher difficulties like Hero and Ultimate Warrior, you won't find meat buns dropped by officers.
To heal during battle, simply press Up on the D-Pad if you have at least one meat bun in your inventory. If your inventory is full when you pick up a meat bun, it will be consumed automatically unless you're at full health, in which case it will stay on the ground. At the start, you can carry up to three meat buns, but if you need more, you can upgrade your capacity with the Meat Bun Glutton skill.
For those who'd rather not manage their healing manually, there's an "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option available in the Configuration menu. When enabled, this feature automatically uses meat buns when your health dips below a certain threshold. Even with this option on, you can still use meat buns manually, so it's worth considering if you want a safety net during intense battles.
