Marvel Snap’s latest update is inspired by Captain America: Brave New World

by Isabella Apr 01,2025

The latest season of Marvel Snap is here, and it's all about legacy. Sam Wilson steps into the spotlight as the new Captain America, bringing fresh mechanics that shift the dynamics of your matches. Alongside him, characters like Diamondback and Thaddeus Ross add new layers of strategy, ensuring there's plenty to explore this month.

Sam Wilson's debut in Marvel Snap comes with a Season Pass that reflects his evolution from Falcon to Captain America. His card ability introduces Cap's Shield at the start of each match, adding it to a random location. You can move the Shield across the board, and while it can't be destroyed, it boosts Sam's power by +2 whenever it lands in his location.

The roster is expanding with new characters released throughout February. Joaquín Torres joins on February 4th, followed by Iron Patriot and Thaddeus Ross on February 11th. Redwing arrives on the 18th, and Diamondback closes out the month on February 25th. These Series 5 cards will rotate through the Token Shop and Spotlight Cache, giving you multiple ways to unlock them.

Two new locations are also coming to Marvel Snap. The Smithsonian Museum rewards Ongoing abilities with an extra +1 Power per card, while Madripoor boosts the highest-cost cards at its location by +2 Power after each turn. Both these locations encourage different deck builds, so you'll have to shake things up to take advantage of this season's strategic landscape.

If you're into collecting, February brings new albums packed with avatars, emotes, and variants. The Viktor Farro album drops on February 4th, featuring rewards like a Darkhawk variant and collector's tokens. Later, on February 25th, the Lemon Fashion album arrives with exclusive Elsa Bloodstone content.
