Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is officially shutting down on October 30th, 2024. This announcement, made recently on Netmarble's forums, marks the end of over six years of action-packed gameplay and numerous high-profile crossovers.
The in-game store has already been closed since June 26th, 2024, meaning no further in-app purchases are possible. While the game enjoyed positive reviews and millions of downloads, citing reasons for its closure, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt from the original King of Fighters series. However, this is likely only part of the story, with other undisclosed factors contributing to the decision. Recent optimization issues and game crashes may have also played a role.
Players still have approximately four months to experience the game's legendary battles and unique animations before the servers go offline in October. Download King of Fighters ALLSTAR from the Google Play Store and enjoy it while you can! Looking for alternative games?
