Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon in its upcoming Max Out season. This exciting addition brings a new dimension to gameplay, alongside a host of in-game events and rewards.
Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th
The Max Out season runs from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized Pokémon action!
Dynamax Pokémon Debut in 1-Star Max Battles:
The season kicks off with 1-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax versions of:
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
- Skwovet
- Wooloo
Catch these Dynamax Pokémon and their evolved forms! Shiny versions will also appear. Special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases offer additional opportunities for rewards.
A special Seasonal Special Research story will also be available from September 3rd to December 3rd, offering rewards including Max Particles and a new avatar item.
Max Particle Pack and Power Spot Rumors:
A Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT. Max Particles are crucial for Dynamax battles.
Rumors suggest the introduction of Power Spots next month, dedicated locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection.
Mega Evolution and Gigantamax Possibilities:
Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla confirmed that some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also be able to Mega Evolve. While Gigantamax Pokémon remain unconfirmed, Niantic promises further details soon.
