"Pokémon Go Tests Go Pass in Select Regions"

by Caleb Apr 10,2025

Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! A new feature, the Go Pass, is currently being tested in select regions, and it's your chance to earn exciting rewards. Following the success of the Tour Pass during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, the Go Pass is set to roll out globally soon. If you're in one of the eligible areas, you can participate in the Go Pass: April event from April 1st to May 6th and snag numerous goodies.

Battle passes are all the rage these days, and now Pokémon Go is joining the trend. During the event, you can collect Go Points to level up your pass and unlock a variety of rewards, including encounters with Xerneas, Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass comes in two tiers: Free and Deluxe. The Free tier is accessible to everyone, but if you're looking for even more bonuses, the Go Pass Deluxe offers premium rewards like a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and useful items such as Incubators and Lure Modules. You can upgrade to Deluxe at any time and retroactively claim rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

As you progress through the Go Pass, you'll reach Major Milestones that offer additional perks. Tier one extends the duration of Daily Adventure Incense, Tier two boosts XP and Stardust from Research Breakthroughs, and Tier three increases Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. The final Deluxe reward is another Lucky Trinket, ensuring a Lucky Friend encounter.

Since the Go Pass is still in its testing phase, rewards and structures may vary between regions. Some areas might receive different encounters, adjusted item rewards, or even PokéCoins at certain ranks. These variations will help Niantic fine-tune the system before its wider release.

If you're in an eligible region, this is your opportunity to try out the Go Pass before its global rollout. Make sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and don't forget to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
