Pokemon Legends: Z-A: August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak
A potential release date for Pokemon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025 and quickly removed, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.
Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the anticipated sequel to 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Following the exploration-focused gameplay of its predecessor, which prioritized collecting over traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League, details on Z-A have been scarce since its announcement.
The Amazon UK listing, highlighted by content creator Light88, briefly displayed the August 15th date before reverting to a December 31st placeholder. This leak adds fuel to speculation surrounding the game's imminent arrival.
February 2025 Confirmation Possible
The official release date might be revealed sooner than expected. Given the initial announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, a similar reveal during the 2025 event on February 27th (the anniversary of the original Japanese Pokémon Red and Green releases) is highly likely. This date has been corroborated by a dataminer's findings within the latest Pokémon GO build.
Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, potentially also debuting during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2 thanks to backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokémon games have featured paid DLC, Pokemon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
