New Official Reveal Trailer

The Silent Hill Transmission on March 13, 2025, provided fans with fresh insights into Silent Hill f, complete with an enthralling new trailer. This installment transports players to Ebisugaoka, a fictional Japanese town inspired by the real-life Kanayama in Gero, Gifu Prefecture. The developers meticulously recreated the town, capturing its intricate alleyways using reference photos and sounds from the area, blending them with historical materials to fit the 1960s setting.

The story follows Shimizu Hinako, an ordinary teenager whose life takes a terrifying turn when her town is enveloped in fog and transformed into a nightmarish landscape. Hinako must navigate this unrecognizable world, solve puzzles, battle eerie enemies, and make a fateful decision to survive.

Find the Beauty in Terror

Silent Hill f Brings Signature Horror to Japan

Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto introduced the central theme of Silent Hill f as "finding the beauty in terror." While the game retains the psychological horror essence of its predecessors, it explores this through a distinctly Japanese lens. Okamoto explained, "Japanese horror often finds terror within beauty. When something becomes too perfect, it can become unsettling. Players will experience this through the eyes of a young girl facing a beautiful yet terrifying choice."

Silent Hill f Is A Completely Independent Story

Okamoto assured that Silent Hill f offers a standalone narrative, accessible to newcomers yet filled with Easter eggs for long-time fans. The game's writer, Ryukishi07, known for his psychological Japanese horror visual novels, aims to blend Silent Hill's origins with new challenges. Ryukishi07, a devoted fan of the series, shared his hope that fans would recognize Silent Hill f as a true entry in the series, despite its departure from the traditional setting.
