Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and a popular demand from the community. Alongside this, they are set to release a new expansion titled Folkrace DLC, which promises to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players can look forward to competing in various events, earning rewards, and customizing their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer feature will initially be available through Steam's Experimental Branch, offering early access for players eager to test this new addition. Tuxedo Labs is keen on receiving feedback, particularly from the modding community, as they will also update the game's API. This will enable modders to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer settings, ensuring a seamless integration of existing mods.

The introduction of multiplayer marks a significant milestone for Teardown, turning the developers' vision into reality. At launch, players can access this mode via the "Experimental" branch on Steam. Concurrently, the team will roll out API updates to support modders, ensuring that the multiplayer environment is robust and inclusive of community creations. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture of the game.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has teased the development of two additional major DLCs, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This ongoing commitment to expanding and enhancing Teardown reflects the team's dedication to providing a dynamic and evolving gaming experience.
