Nintendo's Alarmo alarm clock: Japan release delayed despite global availability. Due to unexpectedly high demand and insufficient stock, the general release of the Nintendo Alarmo in Japan has been postponed.
Production Issues Cause Delay
Nintendo Japan announced the delay on their website, citing current production and inventory challenges. The February 2025 launch has been pushed back indefinitely. The impact on international stock, currently slated for a March 2025 release, remains unclear.
To address the immediate demand, Nintendo is implementing a pre-order system exclusively for Japanese Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. This pre-order window opens mid-December, with shipments expected in early February 2025. Specific pre-order dates will be announced soon.
The Popular Nintendo Alarmo
The Alarmo, a gaming-themed alarm clock featuring music from popular Nintendo franchises (Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, RingFit Adventure, and more), launched globally in October. Its initial success overwhelmed Nintendo, leading to the halting of online orders and a lottery system for remaining stock. Both physical and online stock quickly sold out in locations like Japan and the New York Nintendo store.
Further updates regarding pre-orders and the rescheduled general sale will be shared as they become available.
