Vigilant: Resource-Intensive Survival Game Debuts on iOS

by Emily Jan 03,2025

Vigilant: Burn & Bloom, a new endless survival game, is currently in soft launch on iOS. Players take on the role of the Sentinel, an underground guardian, tasked with controlling hordes of fiery elemental beings threatening an alien world.

This isn't a simple good vs. evil scenario. The Sentinel must maintain ecological balance, managing the fire elementals rather than simply destroying them. As the game progresses, players delve into their "Batcave" to upgrade abilities and strengthen powers.

The game cleverly avoids the typical "good versus evil" trope often associated with elemental conflicts in media. While players will engage in action-packed combat, using water orbs against fire elementals, the nuanced approach to managing the ecosystem sets it apart. It's more than just a mindless shooter; it's a strategic balancing act.

Vigilant: Burn & Bloom's worldwide iOS launch is slated for December, with an Android release planned for Q1 2025. Prepare for an exciting blend of action and ecological management! For fans of roguelike games, check out our review of the recently released Dungeon Clawer.
