by Claire Feb 28,2025

Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo launches another exciting title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the musou genre. This new roguelite, featuring beloved Warriors characters, is available now.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss lets players build a squad and battle hordes of enemies in an isometric perspective, echoing the styles of Diablo and Hades. The gameplay involves assembling a team to confront the forces of hell, facing demonic foes. The trailer highlighted characters from various Warriors games, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang.

PlayAccording to the PlayStation Blog, players can recruit and add characters to their team, unlocking additional summoning abilities. Battles allow up to seven active heroes, with a launch roster of 100 warriors.

Koei Tecmo plans to expand the character roster, beginning with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. Further expansions are teased, hinting at the potential inclusion of characters from outside the Warriors franchise.

Warriors: Abyss is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is scheduled for February 13, 2025. Players interested in the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
