This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. It's a relatively short quest with rewarding outcomes.

Quick Links

The Last Knight adds depth to the Rinascita area, offering a different perspective than the main storyline. While less extensive than major quests, it provides valuable rewards and a unique narrative.

Starting the Quest

This quest unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven; he's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries Performance

This involves participating in a performance commemorating a legendary knight. The Mad Knight appears only at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool and defeat him.

Mimic Chests Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, locate Carlow near a large purple flower at the tallest tower. Interact with the flower for a teleport to a mimic chest challenge. Three initial chests are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Open it for rewards, then fight off the attacking mimics.

Following the Knight's Trail

Next, visit two locations associated with the legendary knight, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, follow the scent to a unique Chop Chop enemy with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is recommended for countering its attacks. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "knight" legend was a fabrication.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a plaza. He'll be challenged by knights. Carlow's reaction concludes the quest, awarding Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
