Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has recently faced scrutiny from activists, including notable figures like Grummz, after a series of subpoenas related to the game came to light. This situation escalated when news broke about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling rumors about specific content and "progressive" ideas allegedly integrated into the game. As a result, Warhorse Studios, the developers behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, have been subjected to intense criticism and cancellation attempts on social media platforms, with detractors urging the public to withdraw their support from the developers over these issues.
In response to the swirling rumors, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the PR manager at Warhorse Studios, issued a statement encouraging the public to trust the developers and not to be swayed by every piece of information found online. Stolz-Zwilling also provided an update on the game's progress, noting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 had achieved gold status in early December. He announced that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, approximately four weeks before the game's release. This timing is intended to allow streamers and reviewers ample opportunity to prepare their initial impressions and reviews.
Interestingly, Stolz-Zwilling mentioned that the first "final previews" based on portions of the game from the review version should be available just a week after the review codes are distributed. This step is crucial for building anticipation and providing the gaming community with insights into what Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has to offer.
