How Does the Competitive Rank Reset Work in Marvel Rivals?

Understanding the rank reset system is crucial for any competitive player. At the end of each Season in *Marvel Rivals*, your Competitive rank will be reset by dropping seven tiers. For example, if you finished the Season at Diamond I, you'll start the next Season at Gold II. If you ended in a lower tier within Bronze or Silver, you'll begin the new Season at Bronze III, the lowest tier available.

When Does the Rank Reset Happen?

The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of every Season. As of now, Season 1 of *Marvel Rivals* is set to begin on January 10, marking the time for the first rank reset.

New players should note that the Competitive mode unlocks once you reach player level 10, which you can achieve by simply playing the game. In Competitive mode, you earn points to advance through tiers, with each tier requiring 100 points to progress. Here's a breakdown of all the Competitive rank tiers:

  • Bronze (III-I)
  • Silver (III-I)
  • Gold (III-I)
  • Platinum (III-I)
  • Diamond (III-I)
  • Grandmaster (III-I)
  • Eternity
  • One Above All

After reaching Grandmaster tier I, you can continue to earn points in Competitive matches to reach the prestigious Eternity and One Above All tiers. Achieving One Above All requires you to be in the top 500 on the leaderboards.

How Long Do Seasons Last in Marvel Rivals?

While Season 0 was relatively short, future Seasons in *Marvel Rivals* are expected to last approximately three months. Each new Season will bring fresh content, including new heroes like the Fantastic Four and new maps, giving you ample time to climb the ranks and enjoy the game's evolving landscape.

That covers everything you need to know about the Competitive rank reset in *Marvel Rivals*. Stay tuned for more updates and happy gaming!
